1. Kanhaiya Kumar Granted Bail By Delhi High Court

He is on conditional interim bail, not yet out of case. So can’t call it a victory for his supporters. He remain in Jail for more than 20 days and went for police remand and judicial custody. Would this incident make all students learn the difference between political activism and responsible debate?

2. ‘Hate’ Words Inserted In JNU Videos, No ‘Pakistan Zindabad’: Probe

Please let the country know whether (1). “bharat teri barbadi tak jung rahegi jung rahegi” was chanted to or not. (2). “bharat tere 16 tukde honge” was chanted or not. Only 2 of the 7 videos were hampered with, but what about the other 5?

3. IMF projects 7.3% GDP growth rate for India this fiscal

IMF Board Directors noted that global financial market volatility, a potential further deterioration in exports, and strains in bank and corporate balance sheets could weigh on India’s growth prospects. Meanwhile, high fiscal deficits and upside risks to inflation constrain the scope for countercyclical policies.

4. Rahul Gandhi tears into Modi government on black money, Pakistan 

He also rapped Modi’s silence on the JNU row, especially the attack on journalists and teachers in the court. In acerbic remarks on his style of functioning, he said Modi did not listen to anyone’s opinion, including his ministers and party MPs, on issues like his visit to Pakistan and the Naga accord.

5. Attack at Indian consulate in Afghanistan: 4 terrorists killed, all Indians safe

Today’s attack is fourth in the series of terror strikes on the Indian Consulate in Jalalabad. It was attacked twice by hand grenades in 2007 and in 2013, it was attacked by three suicide bombers. In 2015, an attack on it was thwarted by the Afghan security forces.
